Pak Toh (dating) day !

28 Sept 2009 (mon)

Went swimming with bf then went to his place to make sushi..Bf teach me how to make sushi rice..lol..My bf can cook so much better than me :(

Nvm..I am still learning! :) End result is quite good..bf's mum, dad and sis say is nice too :)

Sushi Rice Recipe :)

Tips on how to make sushi rice using normal rice..

you don't have to buy those expensive japnese rice anymore..Can save $..Use normal rice that you eat everyday..

Step 1 : Cooked rice (normal rice, rice that you eat everyday..)
Step 2 : Get a glass of plain water
Step 3 : Pour some white rice vinegar into the water and stir it
Step 4 : Next (after Step 3), a tea spoon of sugar into the water and stir it

Lastly..pour the glass of water (with vinegar and sugar) into the bowl of rice and mix it well..

Sushi rice is done :) I must say..is not as sticky as normal jap rice..but still taste like normal jap rice la..hehe :)

Step 5 : Buy salmon and slice it into pieces :) If you are not a salmon (raw fish) fan..you can buy other things (eg. crabstick, unagi...) to match with the sushi rice..
Step 6 : Jelly fish..Bf and I love this..we love unagi (eel) too..But NTUC never sell that day.. :(

Step 7 : Seaweed :) I like..hehe

Step 8 : Spread the rice on the seaweed..like how you spread your jam/butter on your bread..

Step 9 : Put the "topping"..
Step 10 : Roll it..
Step 11 : Done :)
Step 12 : Cut/chop it into many pieces..and get really to "makan!" (eat)

We add Salmon and Jelly fish.. Nice :) hehe..

I will make sushi again when bf bring me go picnic :)

End result..hehehe..Look nice? hahaha..I don't think it look very nice..but it taste like normal sushi :) Still edible la..hahaha Can try..Is not hard to make sushi.. :)
