This is my first time backpacking, taking budget airline (JetStar), staying in hostel (Sharing a room with so many people), making and seeing my own "孔明灯" fly up to the sky (eng - wishing/sky lantern), see fireflies, go water rafting and of course..my first time going overseas with my big tree boyfriend! :) hehe..I realise many people keep calling my boyfriend "Big Tree" in my formspring.. that's so cute :))

Anyway..you must be thinking I brought my whole wardrobe of clothes over to Taiwan right? Because is 12 days 11 nights?

Tadah..
I brought 4 sets of clothes only ..because I assume I will "sure" buy clothes when I reach Taiwan. -__-" In fact..Most of us only brought 4 sets of clothes over..misconception..
so we end up have to use the washing machine in the hostel to wash our clothes. Fun much! :) repeating our clothes too..lols.

Ignore my "ah ma's" specs casing in the pic above. I can't find any at home.. That's why I have to use that :( ..throughout the trip I have been hiding my specs casing under my pillow :( Hope no one notice it.. hehe.
Anyway I didn't find any cheap and nice clothes in Taiwan.. and those cheap ones are those I don't like..boo!

Can you imagine how "little" things I brought over to Taiwan?
But I don't know why my bf's bag still so heavy! :( Maybe is because he brought jeans over to Taiwan? :p So not my fault?.. + my hair dryer only :p hehe.
I put my red sling bag into the samsonite bag and carry myself..

My boyfriend's bag...9.9kg! Filled with my clothes and his. plus Soap, Shampoo and all.
My bag is 1kg or less? Lol :( My bf ask me not to bring the Samsonite bag..because he wants me to fully enjoy the trip..who likes carrying heavy bag & walking around right?, he want to carry everything for me. But I say since it's a backpack-ing trip..I insist to carry a backpack -__-" Actually I wanted to help him share his load that's why I carry the samsonite bag over..but he refused to let me help him throughout the trip :(

Have to book the tickets and pay online then print the confirmation to collect the air tickets on departure date. Surprisingly we depart from Terminal One. Not budget airline Terminal?

Seat allocated..I thought since it's budget airline. We will sit "free and easy." lol.
JetStar is so much better than what I expect-ed :))

Jetstar plane is very small compare to SIA plane..6 sits in a row only!..
I was shock-ed when I got in. Anyway I am taking TigerAirways for my Bangkok trip. Let's see which budget airline is better :)

Anyway..just to share. My friend manage to get a better exchange rate at Taiwan's airport..Maybe you can change some Taiwan Dollars in Singapore first, then change the rest at Taiwan's airport? Anyway..not much diff also la. Haha. Just to let you know..in case you are like me.. like to compare exchange rate with friends.. Lol. I lose this time! Haha.Bullet train to Tainan after that..(See you in next post). :) I am accompanying my boyfriend to NUS to collect his graduation robe..have to wake up at 8am :( Goodnight :)
I had a good day today..catching up with my UOB clique..pics up soon! :)
Meeting Jennica and the rest tomorrow for dinner :) Lots of catch up session lately. Just before life gets busy again after I start work :)
